Chimney work at the Frankfurt chemistry centre
Re-coating of a small surface area
During annual inspections at factory premises, the use of numerous assembly sections for work to be carried out is co-ordinated so as to enable the shortest stand-still times possible.
So there was a high weather sensitivity for this work, because of the abovementioned points, as well as the paintwork.
Despite the early autumn conditions, all rusted areas were removed, the corrosion coating redone and the oscillating insulation board replaced - taking into account the given time frame - over just a few days, with height workers specially trained in corrosion protection.
Planning was done completely by Rope Access Solutions.
The selection of corrosion protection materials was found, and the colour scheme created according to the client′s specifications, through talks with the company SIKA®-Germany.
An improved fixation of the oscillating insulation boards was also developed in collaboration with the factory's own locksmith, as the existing solution had only proved to be suitable to a limited extent.
This project also demonstrated that the range of industrial climber services is virtually unlimited.
Through precise and extensive planning, the necessary work could be carried out all at once on the entire object.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the engineering firm, Doebel & Folger, for their friendly support during the implementation phase.
